ASPIRE HIGHER RACE CAR TEAM Races Back into Action!

Jackson Pierce, Oluwasheyi Ajayi, and Kobe Dodge

Last year the Aspire Higher Race Car Team designed, built, and raced their very own race car. Along with building and racing the car, we also had a set of goals to accomplish.

Rookie of the Year was our biggest accomplishment last year, but let's not dwell in the past. This year's goals are to design, plan, and engineer a second car with new components, develop a business plan, and implement our program at the High School.

We want to develop a business plan with SCORE. SCORE helps small businesses start and eventually succeed with their business, and we plan to use it to our advantage. SCORE is going to help us stay on our feet the next five years.

This year we hope that the 7th, 8th, and 9th graders will cooperate well, and that we will make this years car two times better than last year's car.

Recently, people on the Engineering and Building part of the team have been working at Crazy Horse. They have been practicing working on someone else’s car so they know how to do certain things when they start working on our second car. Also students have been going to the high school and working in the car shop to get more experience.

This year we are planning to race 5 P.A.S.S series races. With one car and have another race car for Oxford Plains Speedway. We want multiple drivers for the P.A.S.S series races. We hope to win more races this year with more fans and friends.

Also we are working on making new merchandise such as hats, new shirts, and new bumper stickers. This year we are making new business cards. We hope you look forward to buying this merchandise from http://racecar.msad17.org/.

We hope that we have a very successful year with our new race car(s) and that you are able to enjoy it with us. Thank you to all of the sponsorships and, for supporting us throughout our years of success. We hope we have a great year.
